IRA Distributions
You can support SilverSource by making a charitable gift from your IRA. While regular IRA withdrawals are taxable and may count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), donors who qualify may prefer to give through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).
QCDs
A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) is a tax‑smart way for individuals age 70½ or older to give directly from their IRA to SilverSource. A QCD may reduce taxable income, may count toward your RMD, and provides immediate support for older adults in our community.
Donor Advised Funds
Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) offer a flexible and tax-efficient way to support SilverSource. Recommend a grant from your DAF to SilverSource. Choose one-time or recurring support to provide seniors with housing, healthcare, and essential services.
Gifts of Stock
Donating appreciated securities can be a tax‑efficient way to support SilverSource. When you give stock held for more than one year, you may avoid capital gains tax and claim an income‑tax deduction for the fair‑market value of the shares on the transfer date.
Planned Giving
Planned giving is a meaningful way to support SilverSource in the future without affecting your current finances. By including SilverSource in your will, trust, or beneficiary designations, you help older adults in our community stay safe, stable, and connected for years to come.
