Housing Stability
With Stamford's housing costs far above the national average, seniors on fixed incomes are often one rent increase away from eviction. SilverSource's housing stability programs prevent homelessness, support safe aging in place, and help older adults remain securely housed.
Food Assistance
SilverSource provides emergency nutritional support and nutrition education programming to seniors. We work with community partners to ensure that seniors have healthy, nutritious meals.
Health
We remove barriers standing between seniors and essential healthcare services. SilverSource offers support with prescriptions, dental services, vision, hearing and mental health care and connects seniors with healthcare providers and community resources.
Connections
Many older adults face isolation, which can affect emotional well‑being and quality of life. It can also leave seniors more vulnerable to scams and exploitation. Our Caring Connections and Outreach programs are designed to counter this by fostering a sense of caring and community.
Transportation
Access to safe, reliable transportation is essential for independence, health, and connection. Through our Ride to Wellness program, older adults can schedule rides to medical appointments. We also partner with Norwalk Transit and other providers to enable seniors to access discounted rides.
Education & Digital Literacy
SilverSource empowers older adults with the skills they need to safely keep up with a rapidly changing world. We offer hands-on training and support to boost digital literacy, protect against fraud, and guide families through complex decisions.
Protective Services
In partnership with the Connecticut Department of Social Services and Protective Services for the Elderly (PSE), we provide crisis support to seniors throughout Fairfield County. If you suspect a senior is experiencing physical, mental, emotional or financial abuse, neglect, or abandonment, call 911 immediately or PSE at 1-888-385-4225.
Veteran Support
SilverSource partners with the Stamford Veterans Resource Center to help veterans access the services, support, and resources they deserve. We recognize the unique challenges many veterans face – including service-related disabilities, mental health concerns, and complex benefit systems.

SilverSource is a resource hub for older adults and their families and caregivers. We provide referrals, support, and links to useful community resources on aging in Fairfield County.
