Education & Digital Literacy
Digital skills are essential for seniors to navigate an increasingly online world safely and independently. As technology evolves, staying safe and connected becomes increasingly challenging. We help seniors build confidence through education programs that make learning approachable and empowering. At the heart of this effort is Viola’s Place, our digital learning lab, where seniors can explore technology, receive one‑on‑one assistance, and build the skills that help them access services, engage with their community, and stay safe online.

Core Services
Hands‑On Digital Training
We empower older adults with the confidence and skills they need to thrive in today’s digital world. Through personalized, hands‑on training, we guide seniors in navigating essential online portals like Medicare and Social Security, recognizing and avoiding online scams, and staying safely connected with loved ones through email, video calls, and social media. Our goal is simple: to help every senior feel informed, independent, and digitally confident.
Expert‑Led Educational Sessions
We also bring in trusted subject‑matter experts to share timely insights on issues that matter most to seniors. From healthcare and financial planning to fraud prevention, housing, and community resources, these presentations give seniors direct access to knowledgeable professionals who can answer questions, offer guidance, and help them make informed decisions with confidence.
Viola's Place
In 2026, SilverSource opened Viola’s Place, a digital learning lab designed to help older adults build essential technology skills and safely navigate an increasingly online world.
Made possible through a foundational gift from SilverSource Board Member Karen M. Kelly, given in honor of her mother, Viola Isabella, Viola’s Place provides hands‑on instruction to help older adults access critical services such as Social Security and Medicare portals, telehealth appointments, community resources, and digital communication tools.
Research shows that one in four older adults lack basic digital skills, highlighting the urgent need for accessible, supportive learning environments. Viola’s Place aims to close this digital divide with personalized instruction and a strong emphasis on online safety and fraud prevention.
